Isolated bass track - Working by Marc Douglas Berardo, from his 2005 release entitled Harbor.

Please listen to the completed, released track for context. The chop in the bass part adds a certain push to sections, imparting the “working” and enthusiasm of learning the craft. I hope I did the song justice.

Sohcahtoa - by Steve Combs, composed in 1976 after the song Penny For Your Thoughts by Peter Frampton, from his 1976 release Frampton Comes Alive.

I got tired of re-tuning my cheap acoustic guitar and playing that song on those tiny little strings, so I wrote this little ditty to cop a similar vibe on bass. It’s a great little warm-up piece.

Lilac and Dogwood - by Anne Marie Menta, from her 2004 release When the Love Ran Deep.

A fabulous and highly-recommended album that showcases the simple & tasteful approach to folk & singer-songwriter supportive bass lines.
